CM Gehlot to lay foundation of roads worth Rs 1,528 cr in 232 local bodies

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will on Saturday lay the foundation stone of works related to renovation, strengthening & widening of 2,642 km roads, worth Rs 1528 cr in 232 urban bodies.

Principal Secretary, Public Works Department, Vaibhav Galriya informed that in this program, the foundation stone of 4,101 works will be laid virtually by CM Gehlot at the CMR.

“Many announcements have been made by CM Ashok Gehlot in the budget 2023-24. Of these, the works related to PWD are being completed by the department on time. In this sequence, the foundation stone of these works will be laid on 15th July. UDH Minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal, Public Works Minister Bhajanlal Jatav and other guests will be present in the program and people’s representatives from different districts will connect through VC,” he said. He informed that the construction and development works of 64,946 km roads have been done by the dept in last 4 years.
