CM Gehlot sanctions Rs 3,525 cr for road devp projects

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial provision of Rs 3525 crore for over 5 thousand road development works in the state. These works include approval of a total of Rs 1870 crore for 187 assembly constituencies for the construction work of non-patchable/ missing link roads at a cost of Rs 10 crore in each assembly constituency.

Approval for the remaining 13 assembly constituencies will be given on receipt of the proposal. Along with this, Rs 1166 crore will be spent for 694 villages to connect revenue villages with over 250 population of tribal and desert areas with asphalt roads in a phased manner. The CM has also made a financial provision of Rs 488.80 cr for 1375 works of 96 urban bodies.
