CM Gehlot fractures toe, docs advise week’s rest

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot sustained a minor fracture and injury to his leg on Thursday evening after which he was rushed to emergency ward in SMS. According to docs, Gehlot twisted his leg resulting in minor fracture in his left leg and his toe on right leg came in contact with a sharp object due to which he sustained a cut. SMS Medical College Principal Dr Rajeev Bagarhatta, Dr Achal Sharma, Dr Jagdish Modi with other docs reached emergency at SMS hosp immediately.

Upon reaching the hospital, Gehlot underwent tests under the supervision of doctors. CM’s arrival at the hospital created panic in entire hospital, however, arrangements for treatment of other patients in emergency remained unchanged. Notably, in a simple way, CM Gehlot got admitted in emergency like a common citizen, after which X-ray was done of Gehlot’s leg.

The tests revealed that Gehlot had sustained fracture in one leg while the other leg had bleeding due to injury. Stitches were administered to stop bleeding and along with this, plaster was cast on the fractured leg. Reportedly, the nail injury was caused by a sharp object due to twisting of the leg. Doctors have advised CM to rest for 7 days and the injury will be re-examined. Meanwhile, CM Advisor Lokesh Sharma spoke to First India and said, “CM Gehlot’s health is absolutely fine. He has sustained a mild fracture due to leg injury and plaster has been set on leg.”

Notably, Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena, Bhajanlal Jatav, Mahesh Joshi and Govind Singh Dotasra were also present with CM at the hospital while CM Gehlot’s wife Sunita Gehlot, daughter-in-law Himanshi Gehlot and granddaughter Kashwini also reached SMS Hospital.
