CM calls on Energy & Coal ministers; duo assures support

New Delhi/Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma met Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi and appealed to him to immediately start mining from Parsa East and Kanta Basin (PEKB) and Parsa Coal Block. Joshi assured of positive action in the matter. During the day, the CM also met Union Energy Minister RK Singh and drew his attention towards the increased demand for electricity due to the Rabi season in the state. In order to ensure adequate power supply to the electricity consumers of the state and 6 hours daily supply to the farmers, the CM requested for temporary allocation of 1,000 MW power to the state from the unallocated quota of coal based power units of the Centre. Singh assured CM Sharma that every possible support will be provided by the Central Government.
