CM appeals to doctors to end strike

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday appealed to the doctors to end the strike and work boycott in the interest of the general public. He said that State govt has taken many welfare measures in the interest of doctors and even today it is ready to have a positive dialogue on Right to Health Act.

He chaired a high level meeting to discuss the protests over the issue after returning from Delhi. “End the strike, return to work,” CM appealed to docs.

The doctors, however, refused invite for meeting. “The invitation for talks has been received late at night. But in the current situation doctors are not ready for talks. After discussion with all medical organizations, we will talk to representatives of govt on Sunday,” said Dr Ashok Sharda, Co-ordinator of RTH Sangharsh Samiti.
