Claims of Shivalaya at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Hindu Organisation demands ASI to conduct survey

Jaipur: Hindu organisation, Maharana Pratap Sena has demanded a survey from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) claiming a ‘Shivalaya’ at Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Dargah, Ajmer.

Rajvardhan Singh Parmar of Maharana Pratap Sena claimed that the walls and windows of the Dargah have symbols related to the Hindu religion.

At the same time, the Khadim committee of the Dargah refuted any such claims. Parmar told reporters that the Dargah of Khwaja Garib Nawaz was an ancient temple in the East.

“There are swastika symbols on its walls and windows. Our demand is that the survey of the Dargah should be done by the ASI,” said Parmar.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the Khadim Committee, Moin Chishti said, “I am saying with full responsibility that there is no swastika symbol anywhere in the Dargah. The dargah is there for 850 years. No such questions have been put up to date. It is nothing but an attempt to disrupt the communal harmony.”
