City Park, RHB ready for Rose Show on Feb 26: Arora

Jaipur: The Rose Society of Rajasthan will organise a ‘Rose Show2023’ on February 26 at the famous City Park in Jaipur, where Chief Secretary Usha Sharma will be the chief guest.

The office bearers of the society held a meeting with Rajasthan Housing Board Commissioner Pawan Arora on Friday and shared the action plan of the programme. Arora told that the 48th Rose Show will be organised by the Society at City Park which has become a hot destination of the city. He said that more than 500 varieties of roses would be displayed in the show.

“City Park and RHB are fully prepared for the Rose Show. The officers have been directed for all the preparations. On February 26, the Park will have several attractions including Rajasthani folk dance. The area of ‘Jaipur Flower Show’ was developed earlier in City Park, which has become a special attraction among the people.

The ‘Rose Show’, organised by the Society every year in the month of February, will now be organised in the City Park itself, which will also become a ‘Centre of attraction’ for tourists in days to come,” he said.

Society’s patron and retired IAS Ishwar Chandra Srivastava and General Secretary Anil Kumar Bhargava told that every year the show has been organised by the society in Central Park and Youth Hostel, but this time it will be organised in City Park which has become the heart of the city. “The general public can also participate in the show with advanced variety of rose cuttings will be displayed while good varieties of roses will also be awarded. Apart from this, there will be many other creative and cultural programs including painting competition,” he said. The members also inspected the City Park in connection with the event.
