CISF marks 24 yrs at Jpr Airport

Jaipur: Jaipur is the country’s first airport where on February 3, 2000, the CISF took over the responsibility of security. To mark its 24 years of excellence in aviation security, CISF Induction Day was celebrated at the airport on Saturday. The chief guest on this occasion was ADG S Sengathir and the guest of honour was Chief Airport Officer Vishnu Mohan Jha.

Commandant Narpat Singh of CISF briefed about the achievements of CISF. Singh said that in the past year, through approximately 45,000 flights, more than 53 lakh passengers were ensured safe travel. On the occasion, CISF showcased their skills of weapon handling and others. Sengathir said that state police and other agencies learn from CISF. “CISF acts with humility. Once I lost a ring at the airport and the CISF helped me find it,” he recalled.
