Chomu SHO’s reader, Hindaun ASI in ACB net

Jaipur/Karauli: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Sunday late evening arrested reader of Chomu SHO Sanwarmal Nitharwal and middleman Ramesh Bijarniya for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 40,000 in lieu of removing names of the accused from an NDPS related case.

“The accused had initially demanded a bribe between Rs 1.40 lakh to settle the case. However, they agreed to Rs 50,000,” said ACB Inspector Anita. The accused had taken Rs. 10,000 from the complainant on Sunday morning. Chomu SHO was not present in the police station during the trap, ACB officials said. Meanwhile, ASI Bahadur Gurjar, reader of Hindaun Nai Mandi PS SHO in Karauli, was held for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 in lieu of organising a compromise between two parties in a case of physical assault. The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from complainant Kaptan Singh to settle the case.
