CHERISHA CHANDA FROM INDIA IS THE NEW MISS ECO TEEN

Cherisha Chanda who represented India at Miss Eco Teen International beauty pageant won the first crown of Miss Eco Teen for India. She is the first Indian to win this title. Cherisha Chanda represented India at Miss Eco Teen Pageant in Egypt. The Grand Finale of Miss Eco Teen was held on 11th December in Marsa Alam, Egypt.

Cherisha Chanda defeated 25 countries to bag the crown. She succeded Vietnam’s Vu Huyen Dieu. Bea McLelland from Philippines was crowned as the Runners-Up.

Miss Eco Teen pageant is headquartered in Egypt and is held annually where contestants across the world take part. Cherisha Chanda from India was the Runners-Up at Miss Teen Diva 2021 and was appointed to represent India at Miss Eco Teen Pageant. Cherisha Chanda will get to be the active member of United Nations after winning the pageant. In the reigning period, Cherisha Chanda will now work on environmental causes in her reigning period and also promote environmental awareness.

India has been considered as the Powerhouse in beauty pageants and has been ruling the pageant industry over the decades. Cherisha Chanda is the second Miss Teen Diva girl to win the international title for India after India’s Aayushi Dholakia. Aayushi Dholakia was the first Asian to win Miss Teen International. Now, Cherisha Chanda is the first Indian to win Miss Eco Teen.

Cherisha Chanda is a student of Class 12th from GD Goenka Public School, Gurugram. She is a student of Science and aspires to be a Fashion Icon in future. She is born to Rajeev Chanda and Saloni Chanda. She was trained by the renowned pageant trainers like Ritika Ramtri, RL Lacanienta, Lu Sierra, Dr Varun Katyal, Dr Amit Karkhanis, Radhieka Khanna and Dr Nida Khateeb. Cherisha Chanda wore the gowns by Presto Couture and Gaurav Gupta. Her wardrobe also included the clothes by ITSOM by Somya Khurana.

Upon asking about her victory, She said “The feeling is still sinking in. I cannot wait to witness and experience the opportunities I will get in my reigning period. Being the active member of United Nations is such a big honour and it happened because of the Miss Eco Teen Crown. Miss Teen Diva Organization and my parents have always been there and I owe my success to them. It’s a team work and yes, we did it.”
