Chaos in House over Prosecution Sanction against bureaucracy

Jaipur: There was uproar in the assembly after BJP MLA Atul Bhansali asked a question regarding the pending case of Prosecution Sanction against IAS, IPS, RAS, RPS officers. In response, Parl Affairs Min Jogaram Patel said that prosecution cases of 18 officers are pending. “It includes episodes from 2018 till now. The approval is getting delayed due to various reasons,” he said.

He said at present, 18 cases against officers of administrative service are awaiting prosecution approval. Of these, one is from 2018, one from 2019, three are from 2021, five are from 2022, six are from 2023 and two are from this year. Meanwhile, LoP Jully questioned govt about its zero tolerance policy against corruption and sought the number of approvals given in last 8 months. Dissatisfied with Patel’s reply, many opposition members created a ruckus.
