Chaos erupts in JMCH as Cong, BJP councillors exchange barbs in GBM

Jaipur: The meeting of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage was on Wednesday adjourned sine die following ruckus between the councillors of ruling and opposition. The uproar occurred when the Congress councillors objected to discrepancy in urban development tax structure and closure of meat shops.

They were also upset over the alleged statement by a BJP MLA who had come to attend the meeting and said that ‘Jaipur will not be allowed to become a mini Pakistan’. The BJP councillors came in support of the BJP MLAs. To this, the councillors from both sides came face to face. Amid uproar, Modi-Modi slogans were continuously raised and the meeting was adjourned sine die. The Cong councillors were also divided into two groups. Some Cong councillors of Civil Line waved no-confidence motion posters against Mayor Munesh Gurjar in their hands. The Corporation has a Congress board and Munesh Gurjar is mayor.

First of all there was an uproar in the meeting regarding the switched off mic. Congress and BJP councillors came to the Well and started protesting against the Mayor and amid the uproar, started getting signatures to bring a no-confidence motion against the Mayor.
