Changes in 90-A rules, ease given for project approval on such land

Jaipur: The Urban Development Department has cleared the way for the resolution of cases stalled for the past five months. This development comes after the department amended its rules related to 90 ‘A’. First India reported on this matter earlier, revealing that the government was expected to provide guidance soon.

The revised rules now allow for the disposal of land after the implementation of 90 ‘A’. This includes cases where the original owner has sold the land to another party, and the new owner has applied for project approval. The amendment also permits the municipal authority to approve the layout plan for such projects.

Previously, cases received by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) since July had been pending without resolution. The Urban Development Department’s recent notification has made it possible for the municipal authority to approve project plans on land sold post-90 ‘A’.
