Chain snatchers loot elderly woman in broad daylight

Jaipur: On Sunday morning, while Saroj, an elder woman, was heading back home from the temple, thieves snatched her gold chain. The miscreants hit the woman to break the chain around her neck, and then they dragged her on road.

She then lost consciousness after collapsing face down onto the ground. About 8.40 am, in the Malviya Nagar police station area, on Hari Marg in C Block, a mere 50 meters from the woman’s residence, the incident occurred. Manish, Saroj’s son, then drove her to the hospital. The Malviya Nagar police station has begun an investigation after receiving a report about unidentified miscreants. Given the gravity of the event, the DST East team has also been dispatched to hunt out these miscreants, according to DCP East Kavendra Sagar.
