CHA STIR: MEENA GIVES 15 DAYS ULTIMATUM TO GOVT

Jaipur: The Mahapadav of Covid Health Assistants (CHA) continued on the second day on Tuesday at Kothari farmhouse in Jaipur after which the government invited them for talks. Under the leadership of MP Kirodi Lal Meena, the agitators had talks with the government's representative in the Secretariat but no solution could be found. Meena said that they have given 15 days time to the government.

With the announcement of ending the agitation, Meena said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has supported the protesters. “I would raise this issue in the assembly and if the government does not find a solution, we will gherao the assembly on September 22,” he said. Meena said that during the pandemic, these youths risked their lives to serve the people of the state. “After the pandemic subsided, the Congress government showed them the door. This is absolutely wrong. I am with them, until they are reinstated.” Meena once again blocked the Ajmer highway which led to a jam for about two hours. Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore said that the state government should not test the patience of CHA. “The agitating has been nonviolent but the government is ignoring their demands for a long time,” he said. Former minister Arun Chaturvedi said that the Gehlot government of Rajasthan is anti-youth. “We will fight with them until they get employment.”
