Cargo terminal likely to start this month

Jaipur: The Jaipur Airport Administration is going to start cargo services here soon. A separate cargo terminal has been made for this. The cargo terminal can be started this month itself. Initially, domestic cargo services will be introduced, followed by the facility for movement of the international cargo.

Meanwhile, preparations are on to start Terminal-1 with Haj flights from May 21. A new cargo terminal has also been prepared near Terminal-1. It is likely that this will also start this month. The airport administration has taken necessary permission from the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority of India.

The airport administration has tied up with a private company, Bangalore Airport Terminal Services Pvt Ltd, to handle cargo services here. The Airport Economic Regulatory Authority has also fixed the fares for cargo movement.
