Campaign against illegal mining from Jan 15

Jaipur: Following instructions of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, a special campaign is being run in the state from January 15 to 31 against illegal mining. Mines Secretary Anandi during an interaction with the field officers of the Mining Department through a virtual meeting at the Secretariat said that under the campaign strict legal action will be taken against the mining mafia.

Anandi said that the operation will be jointly conducted by Mines, Revenue, Police, Transport and Forest departments in coordination with the District Collector. The dept has decided to run a joint campaign of five departments against illegal mining.

Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant had also expressed the need for strict action against the mining mafia in gravel and masonry stone. He said that the campaign must be made successful.
