Cabinet reshuffle likely before Assembly session from July 14!

Jaipur: Amid the possibility of assembly session from July 14, speculations are rife about cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan where assembly elections are due later this year. As per the proportion of assembly seats, there can be only 30 ministers in Rajasthan.

There are nearly one dozen districts from where there is no minister in the Gehlot government.
However, the CM has tried to maintain balance by appointing his Advisors, Board and Commission chairman and vice president. Now there are speculations that a cabinet reshuffle may take place to make regional and caste balance.

No MLA from Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Sirohi, Dholpur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Churu, Ajmer, Sikar is a minister. Earlier, Tonk MLA Sachin Pilot was the deputy CM and Laxmangarh (Sikar) MLA Govind Singh Dotasara was education minister. The number of MLAs who are ministers is 4 each from Jaipur and Bharatpur and 3 each from Dausa and Bikaner. There are six districts from where one MLA is minister. The districts are Bhilwara, Barmer, Karauli, Jalore, Bundi and Jaisalmer.
