Cabinet approves formation of 19 new districts & 3 divisions in State

Jaipur: State Cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of CM Ashok Gehlot on Friday. Cabinet has simplified the rules of approval by amending the Rajasthan Press Representative Approval Rules-1995. With this, maximum number of journalists will be accredited and they will be assured of the benefits of govt schemes. Now the minimum age of application for recognition has been made 25 years. Along with this, all journalists working on editor, correspondent and editorial desk in digital media, photographers, camerapersons, caricaturists & journos working independently will also be included for accreditation. The cabinet amended definition of electronic media to include digital media as well. Accredited journos aged 75 years, can be issued Permanent Accreditation Card for life.
