Budget Session: Shadow cabinet of Oppn still missing

Jaipur: Prior to the upcoming Assembly session, it seems a political game is afoot in the State. This is the last budget of the present government, but the ‘Shadow Cabinet’ of the Opposition party has not come into existence. Earlier whenever BJP was in Opposition, it always formed ‘Shadow Cabinet’ and through this, the Congress government was besieged and cornered inside the House. BJP’s subject expert MLAs kept besieging the ministers of the ruling party. But since last few years, BJP Legislature Party has not been able to do this. Perhaps this could not happen due to lack of mutual unity. However,Congress has always termed this experiment of BJP as unparliamentary. When Vasundhara Raje was the Leader of the Opposition, a “shadow cabinet” was formed. Even when GulabChand Kataria was the Leader of the Opposition earlier, it was done then too. It is being said that Harishankar Bhabra had brought this new idea of cornering the government.
