Budget centered on fulfilling aspirations of 8 cr people: CM
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while speaking at a press conference in the Assembly on Wednesday, asserted that the revised budget for the year 2024-25 would be a landmark in realising the vision of ‘Apna Agrani Rajasthan’. Sharma highlighted the budget’s comprehensive support for all sections of society, including women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged, aimed at transforming Rajasthan into a developed state.
He emphasised the government’s commitment to fulfilling the promises laid out in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sankalp Patra, stating, “This budget reflects our firm determination to meet the aspirations of the people.” Sharma expressed confidence in the trust placed by the state’s 8 crore residents, promising that every pledge in the Sankalp Patra would be honoured.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted the budget’s focus on industrial development via policies like industrial, export promotion, garment, warehousing, and one district-one product. The budget also aims for energy self-reliance, road network expansion, enhanced air transport, ERCP project execution, increased farmer income, education reforms, and promoting a green Rajasthan. He emphasised efficient financial management boosting revenue to control future deficits, contrasting with the previous govt’s populist but unfunded announcements.
