Bovines have always been important in our culture and society: CM Gehlot

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Friday that bovines have been important in our culture and society since ancient times. “Many festivals in the state are centered on cattle. The state government has created the Cow Husbandry Department for the protection of cattle in the state and reorganized the Rajasthan Cow Service Commission. Every possible support is being provided for the establishment, assistance and development of cow shelters in the state,” Gehlot said.

During this, as per the demand of the common people and the recommendation of the high level committee, the Chief Minister announced three new districts in the state, Malpura, Kuchaman City and Sujangarh. He said that in future too, various problems including demarcation will be resolved on the recommendations of the high level committee.

CM Gehlot was addressing the Gau Seva Sammelan organized by Gau Seva Samiti at Mansarovar, Jaipur on Friday. He said that the state government is working on the principle of service is religion and service is karma. “We conduct any scheme and program on the basis of constructive suggestions from the general public. The state government will definitely pay attention to the suggestions of Rajasthan Goseva Samiti,” he said. During this the Chief Minister performed cow worship and announced to keep Nandis in cow shelters and to give them a grant of 12 months.

“In the coming time, a provision will be made to give 12 months grant to cow sheds and the grazing mafias will also be curbed. A vision document has been issued on the basis of 3.32 crore suggestions under Mission 2030 to make Rajasthan a leading state by 2030,” he said.
