Bomb threats at hospitals turn out to be false alarms
Jaipur: Several hospitals in Rajasthan, including Jaipur’s Monilek and CK Birla hospitals, received bomb threats on Sunday, which were later confirmed to be hoaxes. Police teams conducted search operations from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, but found nothing suspicious, providing relief to the administration. This is not the first time such threats have been made, as previous bomb threat emails have also been proven false.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph reported that four hospitals had so far confirmed receiving the threatening emails, with more hospitals likely to report similar messages. The emails claimed that bombs had been planted under hospital beds and in bathrooms, and threatened mass casualties. In response, bomb disposal squads were dispatched to the hospitals immediately after the threats were received.
The email included ominous warnings, stating that everyone inside hospitals would be killed or seriously injured, and linked threats to terrorists identified as “Ching and Cultist.” Similar email bomb threats were also sent to two malls in the NCR on Saturday, which were later determined to be hoaxes.
