BNSS 2023 will bring reform in Justice system: Min Jogaram Patel
Jaipur: Law Minister Jogaram Patel said that the implementation of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 will bring a big change in the criminal justice system of the country. He said that this is a commendable step taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for quick and effective justice system in the country.
Patel was addressing a one-day workshop on the topic of BNSS organized by the Law and Legal Affairs Department under the 100-day action plan of the state government.
“The use of technology in the investigation of crimes and legal process is the demand of today’s era. Changes have been made in the new Code by incorporating essential points like inclusion of technology, citizen centric approach and fixed timelines, which will not only speed up the justice process but will also strengthen the justice system and provide relief to the common man,” he said. The Law Minister Patel said that this marks the end of colonial era laws.
“This journey of legal reforms will increase the dynamism of the nation,” he added.
Principal Secretary Law Gyan Prakash Gupta informed all the participants regarding the changes in the Code and expressed the hope that they will work more promptly in the context of this new Code.
