BJP to hold protest on 2008 blast anniversary
Jaipur: Former BJP State President Arun Chaturvedi and JMC Greater Mayor Dr Somya along with Deputy Mayor Puneet Karnawat, Municipal Corporation Ward Councillors and Divisional Presidents held a meeting at the state office regarding the 15th anniversary of the serial bomb blast that took place on May 13, 2008 in Jaipur city.
Chaturvedi said that BJP always works on the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism, Naxalism and terrorists. “Ever since the Modi government at the Centre came to power, incidents like bomb blasts have completely stopped in the country. Our priorities have been to connect the fight against terror in the country with the common people, and to end the existence of terrorist forces,” he said.
The party will hold sit-in demonstrations in all 250 wards of Jaipur from 12 noon to 1 pm and then recite Hanuman Chalisa in local temples in connection with the 15th anniversary on 13 May.
