BJP sharply reacts to Priyanka’s ‘envelope’ jibe at PM

Jaipur: Leader of the Opposition Rajendra Rathore on Friday lashed out at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi for speech at public rally in Dausa on her envelope jibe at PM Modi & on ERCP. “When there was no confirmation, why did you tell a lie? or how long will Cong Gen Secy resort to lies & wll try to confuse and mislead Raj people ? PM Modi at Devnarayan temple didn’t put the envelope, but cash in donation box.” The BJP leader stated that despite Priyanka Gandhi’s attempts to mislead the public with false claims, the people of Rajasthan will not be swayed by the Congress’s lies.

He questioned why Priyanka Gandhi didn’t talk about govt’s commitment in Governor’s address to complete the ERCP project by 2051 and the CM’s pledging for Rs 37,000 cr in the 2021-22 Budget.

Rathore also accused CM Ashok Gehlot of promoting himself during Priyanka’s visit and criticized his leadership style. “Congress had made promises during the 2018 polls, which they failed to fulfill after coming to power,” he said. Rathore further criticized Priyanka for not addressing women’s issues in Raj and highlighted increase in crimes against women during Cong rule. He questioned her slogan of “Ladki hoon, Lad sakti hoon” and accused her of being a mere political tourist.
