BJP PROTEST FOR MARTYRS’ WIDOWS CONTINUES SEEKING JUSTICE, ACTION

Jaipur: BJP leaders and workers protesting against the alleged misbehaviour with the wives of the martyrs pelted stones at the police in Jaipur on Saturday. When the workers left the party headquarters, police tried to stop them but MLA Madan Dilawar laid down at the feet of the police personnel. While trying to cross the barricade, State President Satish Poonia sustatained injury in his leg. Later, BJP leaders and workers courted arrest. They were taken to Vidyadhar Nagar police station and later released. There were protests in various districts across the state.

Poonia, Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, MP Ranjita Koli and many leaders were present during the demonstration. However, during the protest supporters of MP Kirori Lal Meena raised slogans against Poonia.

Pulwama martyrs’ wives Manju Jat and Sundari Devi have been demanding government jobs for their brother-in-law. The government argued that there was no such provision in the rules. Martyr Hemraj Meena’s wife demanded a statue in his name at Sangod Square and a school in his name. Now, they have demanded action against policemen for misbehaving with them.

BJP will gherao district collectorates from March 15 on issues like complete farmers’ loan waiver, deteriorating law and order, paper leak, women’s safety, etc.

Talking to the media, Poonia said that there is an undeclared emergency-like situation in Rajasthan under the Congress rule. “BJP strongly condemns the misbehaviour by the police,” he said.
