BJP Mahila Akrosh Andolan: Diya, others detained, several injured

Jaipur: The BJP Mahila Morcha workers protested against the Gehlot government by marching towards the CMR while banging plates. However, the police stopped the women by placing barricades at the Civil Lines gate. The leaders and workers tried to go ahead by crossing the barricades during which there was a scuffle with the police. Two women workers fainted and several were injured. MP Diya Kumari and some other members were also detained.

Before the march, a meeting was organized at the state BJP headquarters at 11 am and was addressed by office bearers of Mahila Morcha and state BJP leaders.

In-charge of Mahila Morcha and MP Diya Kumari said, “Today Rajasthan is on number 1 in cases of rape. People are calling it Rapisthan instead of Rajasthan. It is a matter of shame. The responsibility of law and order rests with government.
