Jaipur: The Bhajan Lal government was hailed for the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) in the Core committee meeting of the BJP held here on Thursday in which preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were also discussed.

State BJP president CP Joshi and senior party leader Rajendra Rathore said that the Congress government had been raising slogans for five years but no work was done whereas the Bhajan Lal government gave the ‘gift’ of ERCP only two months ago.

Other issues such as Yamuna water agreement and Ram Mandir were also discussed.

Along with brainstorming on the preparations for Lok Sabha elections 2024, the strategy to make the party win all the 25 seats of the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was discussed.

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary, State co-incharge Vijaya Rahatkar, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa and other leaders were present in the meeting.
