"BJP leaders are generator of lies…Congress to form govt in state": Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas

Jaipur: Rajasthan Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas asserted that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are "generators of lies" and predicted that the Congress will return to power in the forthcoming State Assembly elections.

he further said that there have been a lackluster response to BJP's "Parivartan Yatras" in the state, suggesting that the low participation in these events indicates a resurgence of the Congress in Rajasthan.

Speaking to ANI, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said," Currently Crude oil prices are at their lowest in the world. What is BJP doing about this? BJP leaders are peddlers and generators of lies. No matter how many Union Ministers of the BJP come here for Parivartan Yatras, it has completely failed. People are not participating in it. This is an indication that the Congress will return to power in Rajasthan."

Rajasthan Minister Khachariyawas further stated that the law and order situation in the state is better than in many other states including Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
"The law and order system of Rajasthan is better than other states. Here, immediate action is taken after a crime is committed. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself went to Pratapgarh district to enquire about the recent crime. Our law and order situation is better than many BJP-ruled states including Haryana and Uttar Pradesh," he said.

Earlier a video surfaced on social media in which a tribal woman was allegedly beaten and paraded naked in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday met with the victim of the Pratapgarh incident and announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh and a government job for the woman who was allegedly beaten and paraded naked.

The chief minister also said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed for the investigation and a total of 11 people have been arrested in this regard.
Rajasthan is among the five states that will go to assembly elections later this year along with Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Mizoram.
In 2018 the Congress won 99 seats while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house. The Congress led by Ashok Gehlot formed the government with the support of independents and the BSP.
