BJP & EAST INDIA COMPANY ARE SAME, DIVIDING COUNTRY: TIWARI

Jaipur: RS MP and CWC member Pramod Tiwari has advocated that a member of the Gandhi family should be made the party president amidst the ongoing discussions regarding party’s presidency. Tiwari has expressed apprehension of breakdown in the party if non-Gandhi is made the president. Talking to the media at the Congress headquarters in Jaipur, Tiwari said, “The program for the election of the Cong President has been announced. Contrary to the opinion of the Congressmen, it is my personal wish that the Gandhi family should take the lead. The reason for that is, if the Gandhi family does not lead the party, then there could be fragmentation.”

Tiwari avoided the question as to who between Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should be made the president. “Working of BJP and East India Company is same. There are many similarities between the two. The East India Company also looted the country by dividing it in different ways. The work which was done by the people of East India Company, same work is being done by Modi government and his party today. History tells that when we are divided, we have become not only weak but also slaves. The game of toppling state govts is going on on the basis of money and on the basis of agencies,” he said. Tiwari said that Rahul Gandhi needed to travel within India through Bharat Jodo Yatra because a man showed many dreams to this country. “In this, except two big industrialists, the dreams of no one were fulfilled. Out of those who came out of the poverty line under the UPA regime, 23 crore people again came below the poverty line in eight years. They sold them to the industrialists of their choice at 100 times less by charging only the factory price. In order to save the country from this loot, the Bharat Jodo Yatra is being conducted,” he said.
