BJP delegation meets Joshi, seek decision on Cong MLAs

Jaipur: A BJP delegation led by LoP Gulab Chand Kataria met Asssembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi at his residence, demanding a decision on Congress MLAs who resigned in support of CM Ashok Gehlot. Joshi has assured them that a decision will be taken soon. Kataria said “If any MLA expresses his desire to accept the resignation letter, then his resignation is accepted by mere desire. If the MLA resigns for any other reason, only then it should be investigated. Aa per the rules and procedures, the decision is taken by the Speaker of the Assembly, but the matter should be addressed soon,” he said. Deputy LoP Rajendra Rathore said, “Congress MLAs and ministers have submitted their resignations to CP Joshi. It should be accepted. Joshi has assured the delegation that he will prove to be an example in parliamentary history,” he said. BJP President Satish Poonia said, “Joshi has not taken any decision. When MLAs and ministers have resigned, then in what capacity are they using govt facilities like bungalows and vehicles.”
