BJP accuses Gehlot govt of record number of crimes against women in Raj - 118 in 25 days

Jaipur: With the political mercury increasing with each passing day as Rajasthan nears assembly polls, the Bhartiya Janta Party, on Monday, levelled serious allegation on Gehlot government as it released a list claiming that there were a whopping 118 rape incidents in merely 25 days.

In fact, a BJP leader in New Delhi released a long list of such incidents. Among these are rape of minor in Anupgarh, three rape incidents in Jaipur’s Bassi, rape in Jaipur’s Shiprapath, incidents of rape in Murlipura and Nahargarh, rape in Jhunjhunu’s Mandawa Mod, Jaipur’s Pratapnagar, two rape incidents in Bikaner’s Mahajan and two in Jaipur’s Jawahar Nagar, two rape incidents in Jaipur’s Bhattabasti, rape incident in Abu Road, woman harassed in Sikar and rape incident in Bharatpur’s Bayana. According to the BJP, in the past twenty five days, women were harassed in Jaipur’s Tunga and Sikar’s Ranoli while rape incidents occurred in Jodhpur’s Dangiawas, Jaisinghpura Khor and Murlipura in Jaipur along with rape incidents in Jodhpur and Pilibanga of Hanumangarh. The list also mentions rape incidents in Churu and Jaipur’s Jawahar Circle along with harassment and excesses with women in Chaksu and Dausa, rape of girl child in Alwar and Kekdi. Shockingly, the list alleges of the rape of a doctor by a police officer in Dungarpur while also highlighting rape incidents in Chittorgarh and Ajmer, Alwar and Udaipur.
