BAP MP Roat joins INDIA bloc, strengthens Cong position in Raj

Jaipur: PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra met with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, accompanied by the Member of Parliaments (MPs) and MLAs from the Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP). Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Barmer MP Umedaram Beniwal were also present during the meeting.

Mallikarjun Kharge congratulated Dotasra and Randhawa for Congress’s performance in Rajasthan.

In a significant development, Rajkumar Roat has joined the ‘INDI’ Alliance. The Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP) has become an ally of the INDIA coalition.

On Sunday, BAP MPs and MLAs met with KC Venugopal in Delhi, under the leadership of in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra.

During the Lok Sabha elections, Congress supported the Bhartiya Adivasi Party, although BAP did not reciprocate this support in Udaipur.

Securing BAP’s alliance is a major achievement for Raj Congress. Roat had won the Banswara-Dungarpur polls by defeating Mahendrajeet Malviya. This new partnership is expected to strengthen the Congress party’s position.
