Avinash Gehlot immerses Ganesha idol in Hathi Gaon

Jaipur: Cabinet Minister Avinash Gehlot immersed Ganpati idol in a pond in Hathi Gaon, Amer with full rites and chanting of mantras. On reaching the village, Chanda, Pushpa and male elephant Babu welcomed Gehlot by garlanding him. The members of the Elephant Development Committee welcomed and tied him a turban.

Gehlot rode an elephant to immerse the idol. He prayed for peace and prosperity in the state. He also enquired from the elephant owners about their maintenance. Elephant Owner Village Development Committee Chairman Ballu Khan along with mahouts and other officials were present.
