ASSEMBLY ADJOURNED SINE DIE POST DEBATE OVER ‘HEALTH BILL’

Jaipur: The Right to Health Bill was discussed in the State Legislative Assembly on Friday but it was not passed in the House. It was decided to send it to the Select Committee. After this, the proceedings of the Assembly were adjourned sine die. Earlier, the ruling party and the Opposition came face to face in the Assembly over the Bill. MLA Pukhraj Garg said that the utility of this Bill will depend on the district and the State-level committees in which MLA and MP should also be included along with the doctor. Citing suicide by a lady doctor in Dausa, MLA Jitendra Singh said that the opinion of the doctors should be taken otherwise the they will be scared of treating serious patients. Congress MLA Divya Maderna surrounded the Government on the issue of arbitrariness of private hospitals in the Chiranjeevi scheme. “Today we are talking about ‘Right to Health’, on the other hand the private hospitals are flouting norms of Chiranjeevi scheme. In the CM’s area, the Chiranjeevi scheme fell on its face due to the failure of the administration,” she said.
