He said “ At a Govt school function, I asked the principal if there are two kinds of dress codes in school for any events or as such, to which the latter replied that there is not, but they don’t listen. Most of the little girls there were either in Burka or Hijab while the rest of the students were in regular school dress. There were two distinct atmospheres in the same school. This is why I tried to enquire about the official norms. If this is allowed then what if our children too wear Lehngas, Saris and different coloured clothes to school?”
He further added that there are rules, all children are given dresses and they don’t even have any issues with wearing them. The MLA said that people who see politics in everything are trying to malign his name by only circulating a part of his speech.
Meanwhile, a video of MLA Balmukund Acharya speaking at a school surfaced on social media. In the video, the MLA is seen questioning the school authorities about the dress code in school and why children are wearing Hijab.
