Anti-terror mock drill at Jaipur airport

Jaipur: A multi-agency counter-terrorist contingency plan (CTCP) mock drill was conducted by terminal 1 of Jaipur International Airport on Friday. The drill was to check the preparedness & response of various agencies in the time of emergency.

Under the mock drill, a fake situation was created where four armed assailants enter terminal 1 building of Airport. Two of them entre the terminal building while the other two were shot dead by security personnel guarding the building. Later CISF launched a counter-terrorist contingency operation to neutralize the other two. Along with the CISF force, other units like dog squad, bomb squad, fire, medical, and state police marked their active participation.

“Jaipur Airport prioritizes safety, security, and well-being of the passengers. Such exercises are conducted every year to check the readiness of the security forces. This year also we conducted the exercise on line of safety protocol,” said a senior official of Jaipur airport.
