Annapurna food packet scheme to be launched in August: Gehlot
Jaipur/Jodhpur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said that Annapurna Yojana, which distributes ration kits to the needy, is being launched in the month of August itself. CM said this in the function to lay the foundation stone and inaugurating several development works for Jodhpur city virtually on Sunday from Chief Minister’s Residence.
The event was telecast live at DRDA Hall in Jodhpur as well as at seven different locations in the city.
The Chief Minister said that the Chiranjeevi Yojana of Rajasthan is giving a lot of benefits to the general public. A few days ago, PM Modi launched the Centre’s Rs 5 lakh insurance scheme with big posters in Bhopal. He was also about to launch this scheme in Bikaner. But his party leaders told that there is already an insurance scheme of Rs 25 lakhs going on here, so they canceled the launch of this insurance scheme in Rajasthan, Gehlot said.
CM Gehlot said that whenever the BJP government comes, Jodhpur has to suffer the most neglect. Last time a college was declared for Sardarpura assembly constituency, as soon as the BJP government was formed, it was taken to Sursagar. This shows their working mentality, he said.
