Jaipur: In a strategic move ahead of LS polls, BJP orchestrated a significant defection, with 1,370 Congress leaders joining its ranks in Rajasthan under Mission-25. The defections targeted vulnerable constituencies, focusing on caste dynamics. This bolstered BJP’s position while denting Congress’ morale. Former Ministers Lalchand Kataria, Rajendra Yadav and Alok Beniwal, who were part of crisis response team during the political crisis on Gehlot govt, have said goodbye to Congress. The inclusion of Jat leaders like Richpal and Vijaypal Mirdha strengthens BJP, especially in Nagaur. Randhir Singh Bhindar’s return in Udaipur adds to BJP’s gains.
