Alert staff douses fire at secretariat, no one hurt

Jaipur: A fire broke out late Wednesday evening in Group 3 of the General Administration Department at the Secretariat. Thanks to the alertness of security officers and staff, a major disaster was averted. Although two fire trucks were dispatched to control the blaze, security officers and employees managed to extinguish the fire using fire extinguishers before their arrival.

Despite their efforts, the fire resulted in the damage of fans and other equipment in Group 3, along with the destruction of some files.

It is reported that the fire was caused by a short circuit in an old fan, which quickly spread throughout the section.
