Akhil Arora: Raj govt’s ‘trouble shooter’!

Jaipur: Senior IAS Akhil Arora has once again donned the role of ‘trouble shooter’ for the State government as this time around, he is solving the problems of Mines Department. Few months back, he had played an important role in ending the doctors’ agitation, which was related to the Medical Department.

The new problem related to Mines has been erected by MP Hanuman Beniwal, who has opened a front against the State government to lower the river sand (Bajri) rate, illegal mining of river sand and effective action on illegal mining. On Tuesday evening, he started from Tonk for Jaipur with three MLAs at the head of a large gathering and when the gathering was stopped at Shivdaspura toll, it resulted in a law and order problem. A major traffic jam occurred on Tonk road.

It was then that the State government called Beniwal and his supporters for talks to Jaipur and the responsibility for this discussion was handed to ACS (Finance) Akhil Arora. The talks went on till late night in the Secretariat and after an hour of talk, Beniwal called off the agitation owing to Akhil Arora’s assurance of effective action.

Notably, CM Gehlot handed the responsibility to handle Beniwal’s protest as he has complete faith and trust in Akhil Arora’s abilities.

He has already seen Akhil Arora’s abilities when he got the doctors’ strike to end. And hence, CM handed the responsibility to handle this issue too, to Akhil Arora and this time too, Arora proved his mettle. Therefore, the entire bureaucracy is abuzz with the closeness and trust CM has on Akhil Arora.
