AIRPORT TERMINAL 1 NOT LIKELY TO GO OPERATIONAL THIS YEAR

Jaipur: Terminal-1 of the Jaipur International Airport remains an enigma. Despite the completion of the construction work 1.5 years ago, the Terminal-1 is not being started. At the same time, due to the increase in the number of passengers at Terminal-2, now there is a problem during their movement. Sources even said that Terminal-1, which was planned to be commissioned from October, will not be operational this year. The terminal was redeveloped giving a heritage look. The Airport Authority of India was preparing to start it by Sept last year but later on Oct 11, after handing over the operations to Adani Group, the airport authority could not start it. On the other hand, the Adani Group, after taking over the operation, assuming some technical flaws in its construction, talked about improving it. Now the lack of security personnel of the CISF and not having enough parking space for aircraft is believed to be major reason.
