After CM’s meet with Union Ministers in Delhi, coal crisis in Raj to be resolved soon

Jaipur: The State will get relief from coal crisis in the next 3-4 days after the matter was discussed in CM’s meeting with Union Ministers. MoS for Energy Hiralal Nagar returned to Jaipur after talks with central leaders in Delhi. During a special conversation with First India, Nagar said, “We have got the energy sector in a very serious condition due to Congress rule. We met with Union Energy Minister RK Singh and Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi and both the leaders have assured that no dearth of coal will be allowed in Rajasthan.

At present, 24-25 rakes of coal will be available daily from Coal India. Talks have also been held with Chhattisgarh govt and its effect will be visible soon. Work will be done in mining there in next 3-4 days.”

Meanwhile, Rajasthan will get additional electricity from central quota! Regarding this, Nagar said, “We have inherited power crisis from the previous Congress government. Rajasthan’s power-coal crisis is the result of Gehlot government’s mismanagement. At present, we need additional power of 1000 MW for peak time. Union Minister RK Singh has assured that electricity will be provided as per requirement. If we get additional electricity from the Centre, we will not have to buy expensive electricity during peak hours. Due to mining issues in Chhattisgarh, currently coal is being made available from Coal India. 15 rakes of coal are supplied daily, whereas 25 rakes of coal are required. Joshi has assured that this gap will be bridged soon.”
