After Centre’s focus on ERCP, more funds for JJM & Metro expected
Jaipur: Rajasthan can get gifts in the field of agriculture, industry and energy this time in the Union Budget. The Dy CM has also demanded special support to energy companies. Apart from this, she has also put forward the issue of giving concrete shape to the 3 major rail projects pending in Rajasthan soon. Apart from these schemes in the budget, funds can also be released for the DelhiMumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and petrochemical Complex in Barmer. According to the interim budget of the Centre presented in February, Rajasthan will get more money this time as a share in central taxes.
Rajasthan’s share in central taxes is set to rise to Rs 73,504 crore from Rs 65,556 crore last year, marking a 12.12% increase of Rs 7,948 crore.
Additionally, an interest-free loan for tourism development is anticipated. The Jal Jeevan Mission’s slow pace in the state under previous governance prompts expectations of increased funding in the upcoming budget to expedite the scheme.
