Adversity, anarchy, radicalisation under Cong rule in Rajasthan, alleges BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi

Jaipur: BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi on Wednesday targeted the Congress government in Rajasthan and alleged that it has turned the state a place of adversity, anarchy and dangerous radicalisation.

He said the Congress has not fulfilled the promises it made to the people of the state during the assembly elections.

"The Rajasthan government has become a symbol of a credibility crisis. Be it the promise of farm loan waiver, unemployment allowance, or establishing peace, it has not fulfilled any of them. The biggest example of a credibility crisis is using sedition law against its own MLAs and ministers,” Trivedi told reporters at a press conference here.

He said Rajasthan, which was known for tourism, peace and prosperity, has become a place of adversity, anarchy, dangerous radicalisation in the last four years of the Congress rule.

The BJP national spokesperson said that the Congress government which had promised to provide unemployment allowance to the youth was now leaking papers of the recruitment exams and ruining the careers of those who had worked hard for such exams.

He said maintaining law and order has now become challenge for the government.

"Radical powers were given support and encouraged. The PFI, which is now banned, was allowed to take out a rally and an incident of beheading also happened," Trivedi said.

He said it is saddening that instead of solving the problems of the people, the Congress leaders are busy settling scores against each other, whether it is internal factionalism in the state unit, or confrontation with the central leadership.

Trivedi said those who talk about legacy of Mahatma Gandhi remain tight-lipped against people involved in extreme violence.

"A minister of the government had said incidents occur because Rajasthan has been a men's state. Why their masculinity becomes useless when beheading occurs," he asked.

Trivedi said the BJP's Jan Aakrosh rally has covered 128 assembly constituencies so far in the state. All constituencies will be covered by January 10, he added.(PTI)
