Adopt latest technology of mining: ACS

Jaipur: Jaisalmer is going to develop as a cement hub on the world map as a result of planned mineral exploration and auction of mineral blocks in the state.

Along with the exploration and exploitation of petroleum and natural gas, Jaisalmer is moving ahead in the cement sector, an official said.

New deposits of uranium, rare earth elements, limestone, lignite, iron ore, copper, zinc, garnet, etc. are being discovered in the state, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Subodh Agarwal said.

Addressing the 57th meeting of the state geological programming board, Agrawal emphasized adopting the latest technology of exploration and mining and called upon the young officers to come forward with new thinking and determination.

He said that in the year 2023-24, work will be done through 31 different projects for the search of mineral limestone, ferrous metal, decorative stone, industrial and other minerals.
