ADG CRIME SENDS SUGGESTIONS TO NCRB DIRECTOR

Jaipur: After hullabaloo over Rajasthan raking number one in the NCRB report, ADG Crime Ravi Prakash has sent some suggestions to the Director of NCRB about the annual crime statistics. In the annual crime report of NCRB-2021, Rajasthan ranked number one in the rape cases. The Opposition took up cudgels against the government and even the Chief Minister himself had to come in front of the media saying that this is being done to tarnish the image of the state. ADG Ravi Prakash believes that is NCRB accepts these suggestions, then there will be more transparency in the annual crime statistics. The suggestions are mainly regarding rape and POCSO The ADG has suggested to divide rape cases into 2 headings according to age. It is divided into women of 18 years of age and above and women below the age of 18 years. In addition, Section 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act also bears the title of rape with children.
