ADANI GROUP ANNOUNCES Rs 60,000 CRORE INVESTMENT IN RAJASTHAN

Jaipur: Richest Asian and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Friday announced a Rs 60,000 crore investment in Rajasthan over the next 5 to 7 years in setting up a mega 10,000 MW solar power capacity, expanding cement plant, upgrading Jaipur airport, opening a medical college and hospital in two districts and a cricket stadium in Udaipur. Torrent Group Chairman Sudhir Mehta also announced the opening of a World Class Cricket Excellence Academy in Jaipur. The investment by ports-to-energy conglomerate that Adani heads, also spans city gas infrastructure for retailing CNG to automobiles. Speaking at Invest Rajasthan 2022 Summit, he said, “I am very happy to be in Invest Raj Summit & have announced an investment of Rs 60,000 cr. While talking to CM Gehlot, we have given approval on proposals for two medical colleges & a cricket stadium in Udaipur.” “While we already have 3 cement plants & limestone mining assets, a significant part of our capacity expansion will continue in Raj. We anticipate investing another Rs 7,000 cr to double our cement manufacturing capacity in the state,” Adani said.
