ACS reviews situation of seasonal diseases

Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary - Medical and Health Shubhra Singh held a review of seasonal diseases at at Swasthya Bhawan on Friday. It was informed in the meeting that the cases of seasonal diseases are less than the numbers of last year due to consistent efforts made to curb seasonal diseases.

Also, the positivity rate for these diseases has also decreased compared to the previous year.

Singh expressed satisfaction with the progress and directed the medical and other departments to work in coordination and proactively to continue controlling season diseases in the state.She stressed the importance of ensuring accessible treatment for patients suffering from diseases like dengue and malaria at the CHC and PHC levels.Activities like antilarva efforts, source reduction, DDT spraying, and fogging should be carried out consistently, especially in areas with reported cases.

A special campaign for source reduction and public awareness was recommended to prevent dengue and malaria.

Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur said that adequate availability of medicines and test kits and other essential equipment has been ensured in medical institutions.
